Build an Instagram music promotion campaign

ORB supports Instagram music promotion through its managed Meta advertising service. Artists prepare eligible creative, choose an audience and destination, set a budget and submit for review. Meta campaigns can serve across Facebook and Instagram according to supported settings and eligibility; Instagram-only placement is not guaranteed.

How do Instagram music ads differ from ordinary posts?

An ordinary post reaches people through your existing audience and platform recommendations. Advertising adds a paid delivery budget and audience settings. It does not guarantee that viewers follow your profile or listen to the full song after leaving Instagram.

ORB provides a managed Meta campaign workflow rather than a promise to boost any post instantly. Use the creative and identity options offered in your campaign form, and review the selected destination before payment.

What makes a music creative ready for Instagram advertising?

  • A short, clear introduction to the song or artist that works for someone seeing you for the first time.
  • A legible artist name and message that remains readable on a phone.
  • Video, images and audio you have permission to advertise; distribution rights alone do not establish every creative permission.
  • An eligible destination that matches the ad: for example a supported release link or artist page.
  • Accurate ad text without claims of guaranteed streams, followers or endorsement.

How should I choose an audience and measure response?

Start with the campaign's supported country and audience controls. If you have reliable listener insights, use them to form a testable audience choice rather than targeting every location at once. Ad targeting is subject to Meta's current availability and policy rules.

Compare available impressions, clicks and spend for the same reporting period. An ad click is not proof of a stream or follow. Use the destination's own reporting where available, and avoid attributing every change in followers to advertising.

How do I start a music promotion campaign with ORB?

  1. Create an artist account

Open your ORB workspace and choose Campaigns. Campaign access is available on every plan, including Free; advertising is separately funded.

  2. Prepare a campaign

Choose Meta or Google/YouTube Ads, an eligible destination and creative, your audience and locations, a duration and a budget. Use material you own or have permission to advertise.

  3. Review the quote and submit

Check the media budget, separate fees, currency and total before payment. ORB reviews submitted campaigns; the advertising provider also applies its own review and eligibility rules.

  4. Follow delivery and results

Use the campaign's View Progress report for available provider-reported metrics. Review the reporting period and missing-data labels before deciding whether another campaign is worthwhile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can ORB run ads only on Instagram?
ORB's service uses Meta advertising with supported campaign and placement settings. Campaigns may deliver across Facebook and Instagram; do not assume Instagram-only delivery unless the actual supported settings confirm it.
Will an Instagram music ad guarantee followers?
No. Advertising can expose eligible creative to an audience, but following, streaming and saving are listener decisions. ORB does not sell guaranteed followers.
Can I use music promo graphics in my campaign?
ORB offers a separate promotional-assets tool for eligible releases. Any asset used in an ad still needs to meet the selected provider's format, rights and review requirements.
Can I promote music with a Free ORB account?
Yes. ORB Campaigns is available on every subscription plan, including Free. Advertising has its own budget and payment requirements; a Free account does not include free ad spend.
Does ORB guarantee streams or playlist placements?
Advertising buys an opportunity to reach people, not guaranteed streams, followers, subscribers, sales or playlist placements. Provider review, audience response and destination quality affect delivery and outcomes.
